Europe Trip Day 21 to 23

One of the highlights of our Europe Trip is today we meet up with our friends at a site we have planned to meet up in and spend the next 3 days together.

Now we did not book in advance or call as we never do, we just tend to turn up as ask if they have space. The only reason we never book is because our plans change all the time when your just making it up, so we don’t like to be tied to one choice.

On arrival we went to reception and asked the question, lucky for us they had two pitches next to each other so we booked in and reserved the other pitch for our friends as they were yet to arrive.

We drove down to our pitch to get settled in to find its a fully serviced pitch water, waste and electric which is very handy, the pitch size was a nice large area with hedgerows and trees so plenty of shade when needed.

This is a five star site offering some great facilities on site including motorhomes and Caravans allowed, Outdoor swimming pool 1100m2, wifi 80-100% coverage, cycle routes from the site, onsite mini market, snack bar, restaurant, bar, cash machine, laundry, showers and toilets and these were great, serviced pitches with 16 amps, recharging points for electric cars including a Tesla point, spa & wellness, bungalows, glamping.

This site is called Alannia Guardamar and is part of the Alannia Resorts. Out of season they also take the ACSI discount card, however something we did not know is you need to book in advance by 1 week or more. So if you did want to visit this site, book it in advance to get your ACSI rate. Some term and conditions apply, I believe its 20 euros at the discounted rate.

Our friends Shaun and Karen arrived not long after us, after a good catch up they got all settled on there pitch we decided to go for a good look round the site. I we must say, it is a very well kept site one of the best by far we have ever been to. Staff are all over the place cleaning, changing bins, sweeping and maintaining everything to a very high standard.

We then found the pool area, WOW for a moment we thought we were somewhere else and not in a campsite. We was all blown away by the amazing pool area at a massive 1100m2. You have a shallow and deep area, a jacuzzi area built into the pool, a very shallow children’s area both with slides and water fun features. This is such a great place to relax and also have fun.

We went straight back to the motorhomes to get our towels and costumes and came back and jumped straight in, thats us for the afternoon.

They also have a small indoor pool at the site too for those cooler days as this site is open all year round.

Over the 3 days we have chilled out by the pool, did a few days out on our bikes covering so many miles I lost count. Had a lovely meal out in the local town on the first evening. A couple of meals sat outside our motorhomes while enjoying the warm evenings with a few games thrown in.

We also caught up on some laundry while here to keep us going for the rest of the trip as its a great time to get it all down and dry on site.

If your looking for a site down this way in Spain, mark this one and check it out. It maybe for you, it may not. But still take a look and see what you think. For us it was a great meeting place and a lovely place to chill out and catch up with friends.
